Community psychiatric nursesWe have the services of Community Psychiatric Nurses who are involved in helping people with major and minor psychiatric illness together with stress related problems
Arrangements are made after seeing your doctor
District nursesWe have a number of nurses who work with the practice to look after people confined to their homes and who need skilled nursing care
Arrangements are made through the practice or the nurses can be contacted by telephone
The hospital will normally arrange for a nurse to call on patients discharged early who require home nursing

Health Care Support Worker: Sarah Shaw & Pauline Appleby
We also have a Community Health Nurse for the Elderly (Karyn Gamble) to facilitate and improve the care of our housebound patients
Health visitorsWe have an attached health visitor who works to promote health and prevent disease
She gives advice to pregnant mothers and advises on the care of the small children when they arrive
She is also involved in the assessment of the elderly, checking on well-being and advising on help available where appropriate
She offers a range of other services including stress management and counselling and can be contacted by telephone
